We are delighted to announce that we have now made our Blog mobile friendly. If you use an iPhone, Blackberry or Android Smartphone, simply browse to www.bsamarketing.com/blog on your phone’s browser and you will find a copy of this blog optimised for mobile devices. But that’s not all! If you use an iPhone, you will notice that when you add a shortcut to the blog to your homepage, rather than the normal miniature image of the homepage, you will get an icon. This is surprisingly simple to achieve. All you need to do is create a graphic 45 Pixels X 45 Pixels and call it apple-touch-icon.png. Then upload this to the root directory of your website, and when someone adds a shortcut to your site to their iPhone home screen, this graphic will be displayed as the screen icon. It’s that simple!! If anyone knows a similar trick for Android or Blackberry smartphones, we would love to hear about it.
